It’s that time again, when we get to report on the data that really matters. Forget about w/kg, vDOT, or your LTHR…let’s talk about giving real money to organizations that are making a difference in the lives of others and improving the quality of life for us all.

Every month in 2011, Endurance Nation has pledged to award member or training plan athletes who are racing to raise money for a particular charity.  So far in 2011 we’ve donated $6750 to our athletes’ charities of choice. Our 2011 annual commitment is $24,000 — a lot in some ways, but not enough in others.

Please review the organization below and the amazing athlete that supports them. If you have the time and the means, we’d appreciate you continuing what these he has started by adding a contribution via their individual donation page.

Brian Remer, Children’s Dyslexia Center – Madison (Help Brian make a difference here.)

Both of my daughters have dyslexia and have benefited tremendously from this program, finally graduating from the program this year. To see their improvement and confidence has been amazing. With my first ever Ironman® I hope to give back to a wonderful cause and help keep it going for generations of children to come. Thank you so much for your support.

Carly Costanza, Make-A-Wish Foundation NH (Help Carly make a difference here.)

I have been racing/training since high school.  I think it’s about time I put some time and effort into giving back, even in a small way.  This is the beginning of the fundraising that I hope to continue as long as I am racing.

Dana Pedersen, National MS Society – Greater Northwest Chapter (Help Dana make a difference here.)

I’m participating in the Bike MS Ride because I want to do something for the people who have been diagnosed – people like me.  I am fortunate in that I live well with this disease, but many others do not. Riding my bike helps me and helps others.
