Everybody works out.

Vo2Max Intervals. FTP Intervals. Long runs. Z1/Z2 recovery rides.

Almost everyone has a plan.
Most Age Groupers use the more is better approach.

If 1x great, 10x is even better.

But only a few “Work In.”


🗝️ The Solution
“Work In” is an idea developed by Erin Taylor, a leader in sports recovery.

It is – intentional, optimized recovery – focused on finding the optimal balance between stress and rest. Performance and Recovery.

Work In is a deliberate, engaged approach to recovery and rest.

“Effective recovery isn’t a guaranteed result of a rest day.”

Most age group athletes are so stressed from work, family, and workouts – they struggle to wind down and properly recover even when given the opportunity (like a rest day.)

 

How are we doing it?
During this winter a select few of our community are going to do a deep dive on “Work In.”

We are going to focus on: sleep quality, mood, focus, perceived exertion, and trends in Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Resting Heart Rate (RHR).

Got a Whoop? Oura Ring? FitBit? Apple Watch? Garmin watch? No gadget at all – just go by feel.

But it is not all numbers and metrics. We will discuss: mental focus training, physical relaxation practice, awareness breath, mediation, visualization, yoga, and mobility.

Sound like a bunch of mumbo, jumbo? Well, we will compare notes and learn together on what works and how to find our best recovery. And we will be waiting at the finish line for you.

Because we all know, recovery is where the magic happens!
And our athletes will get more ROI from their hard work by optimizing their recovery.
