Thanks to the over 60 athletes who participated in the Open House & Social Event (Saturday 1/17), Power Clinic (Sunday 1/18) & Swim Clinic (Sunday 1/18). It was great to finally meet old friends and to make some new ones as well. Full wrap up is on the EN Blog, and there are some assorted pictures on SmugMug here. See you online!

Introduction
Come join the coaches and members of Endurance Nation for a unique weekend of learning, training, and social activity.  Endurance Nation is on a mission to build a global team of age group triathletes dedicated to achieving their personal best. In our first year alone we have 400 new members with over 100 Ironman finishers and some incredible results! Consider this weekend our official New England Recruitment Drive!

We'll kick things off with a FREE Saturday afternoon/evening Open House, where the coaches will give a lecture on Building Your Best Season Ever. We'll roll right from that into some food and a social hour where everyone can mingle and connect. Sunday brings the learning to a new level with our Power and Swim clinics (see both below).

Our mantra is Get Fitter, Get Smarter & Have Fun Doing Both...this weekend is sure to cover all three. Don't miss out -- RSVP or Sign Up for each session before they close out!

Hosted at the brand new CompuTrainer facility at FastSplits (www.fastsplits.com), this four-hour session will transform how you train and race with power. Participants will learn the basic concepts of riding + racing with power. In addition to the learning content, athletes will complete a Power Profile test and do a virtual group Training Ride. We will use the results of the Profile Test to analyze your fitness and, based on your race goals, advise you on how to structure your training for optimal results. Stop reading about power, stop listening to other people talking about training with power...and do something about it.

Rich and Patrick have been training, racing, and coaching with power for a combined total of 11 years. With over 70% of our athletes using power, Endurance Nation is widely recognized as THE team for the power-training multisport athlete. Swimming is approximately 80% technique and 20% fitness...and the off-season is 100% about technique!  Proper swimming requires focused mental attention to every lap, not mindless wall tag. A critical step in improving your ability to swim well is to master the basics of how you interact with the water. Rich is a former NCAA D3 All-American swimmer. Both Rich and Patrick both have 6+ years experience teaching age group triathletes how to swim. This clinic will include:

  • One hour of class room instruction. Rich and Patrick will review the fundamentals of position, breathing, and balance, as well as the mechanics of "propulsive swimming." They will also cover open water and triathlon racing considerations, as well as how to structure your own effective training sessions.
  • Two hours of pool time. The coaches will lead you through a logical progession of drills to improve your body position and ability to apply power to the water.
  • Underwater video of your form, before and after.
  • After the clinic each participant will receive a critique of their swim video, via CD/download, and a copy of the EN Swim Clinic eBook.
