Day Seven was meant to be the final epic ride of the week; a 38 mile uphill effort through Angeles Pass followed by a killer descent into Pasadena. Let it be known that not a single camper was worried about missing the last day of riding…with most folks getting in 23 hours in six days, everyone was ready for a day off.  A few folks braved light rain and cool temps to get in a nice morning run (barely remembered how to do it!); the rest of the group packed up for the final jump to Pasadena.

After some admin time packing bikes and cleaning out the vans, a few campers headed down to the Rose Bowl to watch the final few laps. They got more than they bargained for, with a solo breakaway for four loops (Team Bissel rider) that was finally bridged by George Hincapie…the ultimate winner of the stage. A great way to end a great week!
